About the projectThe Thai Japanese Association School (TJAS) is a well-established, private, co-educational day school for Japanese elementary and junior high school students in Bangkok. Founded in 1956, TJAS has approximately 2400 Japanese and Thai-Japanese students, from Grades 1 to 9. Students follow the compulsory education system as specified by the Japanese government and the language of instruction is Japanese. The Bell English programme at TJAS focuses on conversational and skills-based English as the lessons are designed to supplement the school’s academic English programme. Students on the programme are 8 to 14 years old. They are taught in mixed ability groups.
