Changing lives together – Bell and its partners show support for learning projects

With the support of over 200 agent partners around the world, Bell has helped to change the lives of underprivileged children in Guatemala and students in rural China.

Bell introduced the ‘Changing Lives Together’ initiative at ICEF Berlin, an event which brings together educators and agents from around the world. The initiative encouraged delegates to wear a wristband in support of two educational projects:

Sustainable education in Guatemala
This project will provide free schooling and vocational skills to underprivileged children of indigenous communities in Itzapa.

Improving the quality of teaching in rural China
This project will provide year-round support and training to teachers to experiment with student-centred curriculum that connects schooling to life in the rural Shanxi Province in China.

For every wristband worn, Bell made a donation to both charities.

Will Kinsman, Director of Sales and Marketing commented on the initiative: “Rather than the usual conference giveaways, in the end we hit upon a novel idea which fully reflects Bell’s ethos to ‘change lives by providing education, training, and cultural experiences for people worldwide.’  The initiative was extremely well-received by agents, who proudly wore their bands which meant two worthy educational projects were supported.”
